Bridal Q & A
Bride + Groom: Monica & Keith Conklin
Wedding Date: Saturday, August 13th, 2011
Location: L'Auberge Del Mar, California
CCS: How Did You Two Meet?
Mrs. Conklin: We met October 15th
2009 at Playa del Carmen in Mexico. We were there because of a house music event that our friend
Julius was throwing called Mi Casa Holiday {www.micasaholiday.com}. Keith was one
of the Dj’s playing at this event, and after being at the pool for 30 min with
mutual friends, he ask me what I was drinking, I said a double mango margarita
and the rest was history.
CCS: How Did He Pop The Question
Mrs. Conklin: The following year at
the same event in Mexico on our one year anniversary Keith got down on one knee
proposed to me at the foot of the ruins at Chichen itza
CCS: How Did You Enjoy The Wedding Planning Process?
Mrs. Conklin: We loved
every part of the wedding planning process. We were able to bring our ideas to life
with our wedding planner. Anything we dreamed of having , Courtney brought it to
life! She made the whole entire process blissful and extremely
delightful!
CCS: What Was The Most Memorable Part of Your Wedding
Mrs. Conklin: I really can’t pick
one specific part, because each part of the wedding was so special and
extremely memorable. It began with the details of the beautiful colorful pallet
of our outdoor ceremony to our amazing Pastor Todd who delivered an
unbelievably inspirational wedding ceremony. The backdrop of the location where
we said our "I Do’s" overlooking the Pacific Ocean with all the people that we
care about and love, to the beautiful and very emotional speeches during our
wonderful dinner under the stars. I have to say the night didn’t stop with the
energy of our amazing DJ Rich Medina all the way to the delightful candy bar
and how can I forget our beautiful wedding cake! I really have to say, it was
all so perfect!
CCS: Now That You Have Been Through The Planning Process, What Is The One Thing You Would Change About Your Wedding Day
Mrs. Conklin: Hmmmm… One thing I do
wish I could have changed is have just a little more time alone with my hubby
to take more wedding pictures. We were so anxious to get back to the
wedding! Thank heavens for our amazing wedding Photographer Belinda who took
the most stunning and dazzling pictures.. it all worked out flawlessly!
CCS: Where Are You Now?
Mrs. Conklin: We are loving calling
each other husband and wife. We never thought it would be so wonderful!
Still in our honeymoon phase we look forward to the rest of our lives together.
We are currently living in Pasadena California. I am currently working as an
architectural designer for Walt Disney Imagineering and Keith is hard at work
traveling and DJing!
A Note From CCS
I loved working with Monica and Keith on their Big Day! They had so many great ideas and they made it so easy to run with them! This was definitely one of the weddings that had a bitter sweet ending. It was bitter because I didn't want to stop working with the couple and sweet because they are so in love! Thank you Monica and Keith for letting me be a part of your special day!
