Bridal Q & A

Bride + Groom: Chelsie & Jamison O'Connell
Wedding Date: Sunday, July 31st, 2011
Location: Orange County, CA.

CCS: How Did You Two Meet?

Mrs. O'Connell: Jamison & I first met at the volleyball courts located at the San Clemente Pier. I was playing volleyball with my sister and uncle when he introduced himself. Jam had noticed the tattoo on my side (Isaiah 40:31) and we started briefly discussing our life and love for the Lord. Since we were discussing the importance of remaining in a strong relationship with God, I invited Jam to attend Shoreline Church with me that next week. We have been attending together ever since.

CCS: How Did He Pop The Question?

Mrs. O'Connell: January 19th- Jami proposed on our 2 year anniversary. We were taking one of our normal walks on the San Clemente beach path when he pulled me aside at the volleyball court. We stood there for a moment just talking about how we met and then he asked if we could pray. We both had the opportunity to pray for the blessings God has given us in each other & for what God had planned for our future! Next thing I knew Jam was holding on to a rope buried in the sand, attached to the court. He told me to pull it up and sure enough inside a large weather proof sport box was a small black box. & you know the rest...:)

CCS: How Did You Enjoy The Wedding Planning Process?

Mrs. O'Connell: I absolutely loved each detail of wedding planning. I had such an awesome group of people to help me with every step of the process. When Jam and I first started planning our wedding we decided that we would not let the process overwhelm us, but that we would take it one step at a time & enjoy every minute. We were pretty laid back about how everything would come together, knowing that it would all work out!

CCS: What Was The Memorable Part Of Your Wedding?

Mrs. O'Connell: My most memorable part of the wedding was obviously seeing Jam while walking up the aisle, but also when we took communion during the ceremony. We both felt that taking communion was not only a wonderful way to honor God, but to give those around us a chance to except Christ if not already. We wanted to show what a relationship was like when based upon the Lord.

CCS: Now That You Have Been Through The Whole Wedding Process, What is The One Thing You Would Change About Your Wedding?

Mrs. O'Connell: I don't really think there is anything I would have changed besides maybe extending the dance party another hour.

 CCS: Where Are You Now?

Mrs. O'Connell: Jam and I have been happily married coming up on a year in July. We have an awesome little apartment in San Clemente and we are still an active part in Shoreline Church. We both volunteer in the Jr. High Youth ministry & love every moment of investing in the lives of middle school students. We both continue to put God first in our relationship & want to live a life pleasing to Him.

A Note From CCS

I can't believe it has been almost a year since these two amazing people said "I Do"! Time goes so fast. This was definitely a blessed wedding and such a fun couple to work with. I am starting to notice a great trend and that is all my couples are great to work with! Thank you again Chelsie and Jamison for allowing my team and I to be a part of your day!
